Our Staff


Derek C. George, his wife Abby, and their two children, Hudson and Kellen, are proud lifelong residents of Bedford, Indiana. Both graduates of Bedford North Lawrence High School, they continued their education with Derek earning a degree in mortuary science from Vincennes University and Abby completing her bachelor’s degree at Indiana University.
Married in 2014, the couple welcomed their first son, Hudson, in 2017, followed by their second son, Kellen, just before the pandemic in 2020.
Derek and Abby are the owners and operators of the Queen-Lee Chapel of George Funeral Care in Shoals, Indiana. Derek has nearly a decade of experience in the death care industry, making his expertise invaluable in providing compassionate service to families in southern Indiana.
Together, they are dedicated to creating lasting memorials that honor the uniqueness of each individual’s life.


Dustin George, a lifelong resident of Bedford, Indiana, shares a deep connection with the community he calls home. A graduate of Bedford North Lawrence High School, he furthered his education at the University of Southern Indiana, earning a bachelor’s degree in education.
Dedicated to fostering academic success, Dustin serves as the elementary principal at Eastern Greene Elementary, where he works to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students. His passion for education extends beyond administration, and he is currently pursuing a doctorate in special education.
In addition to his career in education, Dustin is a small business owner, operating Signals Driving School in Lawrence County. His commitment to serving the community has also led him to ownership of G&W Monuments, where he applies his leadership and dedication to ensuring excellence in service.
Through both his professional and business endeavors, Dustin remains devoted to making a lasting impact on the lives of those in southern Indiana.
